The Jana Moak Scholarship

The Youth Innovation and Leadership Award winner is awarded a $1,500 Jana Moak Scholarship, in honor of the 2006 Women of Innovation award winner and member of the Connecticut Technology Council Board of Directors who passed away in 2007.

The winner is selected from a group of five outstanding women interviewed for this scholarship by a subcommittee of the Women of Innovation Planning Committee. Four criteria were considered by the selection panel: Academic achievement, innovation and creativity, leadership and a decision to pursue a career in a science or technology profession. Each year the interviews acquaint us with these outstanding young women who have truly notable academic credentials that are often coupled with remarkable community service efforts that each undertakes at their schools, church or in their communities.
