After Decades of Decline, Is Connecticut Manufacturing Finally Poised For Growth? – The Connecticut Story – November 2016

The state Labor Department projected in July that by 2024, Connecticut’s manufacturing sector will have grown by 2.8 percent over a 10-year period, adding nearly 4,400 jobs in the process. While the level of jobs in a number of fields within manufacturing is expected to decline over that time, the overall employment growth in the sector will be led by gains of 1,562 jobs in aerospace product and parts manufacturing, 654 in medical equipment and supplies manufacturing and 591 in metalworking machinery.
