EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 10, 2015 – The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) presented it’s Volunteer of the Year Award to board member and friend, Frank Marco, Partner at Wiggin and Dana LLP, at its Holiday Party at Fairfield University.
The Volunteer of the Year Award is an award given to an individual who has been an active member or advocate, as well as a leader, in the technology community.
Frank Marco was instrumental in the original founding of CTC in 1994 and has been a committed volunteer, ever since. Marco became a chair of CTC’s public policy task force in 2015 and has since led the development of CTC’s drafted 2015-2016 Public Policy Agenda. Frank Marco has been endlessly eager to advocate for technology companies and his confidence that there is a bright future in Connecticut’s technology sector is only part of his legacy.
Frank Marco joins what is now a distinguished list of award recipients including John Schuyler, Partner at Marcum LLP (retired), Ira Yellen, President & CEO of First Experience Communications, Elizabeth Alquist, Partner at Day Pitney LLP, Chris Kalish, former director and CTO of GE Edgelab, and Pat Fisher, President & CEO of JANUS Associates.
Also as part of the evening’s presentations, the Crossroads Venture Group presented its Leadership Award to Joe DeMartino, investor and consultant to early stage technology companies.
