HARTFORD, CT (August 20, 2015) – The Connecticut Technology Council announces a new location and programming for this year’s Innovation Summit to be held at the Connecticut Convention Center on November 10. The Council is pleased to present this year’s Innovation Summit in conjunction with its partners; Angel Investor Forum, BEACON, Crossroads Venture Group, CURE and Connecticut Innovations

Each year, the Connecticut Technology Council hosts an annual celebration which connects innovators, investors and entrepreneurs and where selected companies exhibit, and are honored, as Tech Companies To Watch. A new location and major program changes will make this year’s celebration even more valuable for selected companies.

“Our Tech Companies To Watch are the focus of this event making it crucial that we offer a variety of valuable opportunities to those selected,” said Bruce Carlson, President and CEO of the Connecticut Technology Council. “Connecticut’s growing companies are looking for resources that will enable them to thrive in today’s economy. This year’s Innovation Summit is the place for them to find everything they’re looking for; a one-stop-shop for talent, funding, mentors, and peer support.”

In years past, the Innovation Summit has been held at the Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, has offered Tech Companies To Watch an opportunity to pitch, network, meet with mentors, and connect with funding professionals. Due to growth in the number of participating companies this year’s event will be held at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford and will boast some attractive program additions.

“We’ve added workshops, some of which will focus on funding, raising alternative forms of capital, and understanding each stage of financing. Other workshop will be geared toward growth company needs like marketing and talent recruitment,” said Bruce Carlson. “The new location is the perfect space to host an array of activities.”

The Connecticut Technology Council is currently accepting applications for the 2015 Innovation Summit and has already selected 18 companies as Tech Companies To Watch. The Council will continue selecting companies, on a rolling basis, through October 9. The application deadline is September 30. Click here to apply.
