The Institute of Technology Business Development is a University based outreach function dedicated to building the Connecticut economy by providing competitive advantages to business and industry through access to technological training, skills development, industrial modernization, marketing, financial and networking opportunities. The Manufacturing Applications Center provides engineering and manufacturing services to small companies and individuals, ranging from creating prototypes and solid modeling, to solving problems on the production floor. The Technical Training Center, an outreach function of the School of Technology, provides affordable current and advanced technology based skill development to businesses, manufacturers and industry in Connecticut. The Procurement Technical Assistance Center provides clients with affordable, immediate on line access to Federal, Foreign, State, Municipal and Institutional contracting opportunities. The Conference Center hosts conferences, seminars, meetings and training sessions. It’s location and accessibility make the Conference Center attractive to Connecticut companies, non-profit organizations, and professional associations. Catering services are available for all events. IIET?s four centers provide answers to most problems that business or manufacturing entities might have. IIET brings to business and industry the University?s 140 year old tradition of providing quality programs and services. The Institute has successfully served 400 small to medium-sized manufacturing companies and is pledged to achieving extraordinary client service.
