MakeHartford is a Hartford MakerSpace. We offer a space to learn, work, and play. We are an Open-Minded creative community looking to open a communal space in the downtown Hartford area. Members can be allowed 24/7 use of facilities and equipment including advanced fabrications equipment such as 3d printers, scanners, lasers, and cnc circuit board design, a full wood and metal shop and we’ll offer classes in soldering, electronics, programming, and of course equipment safety. And we’re also a place for people to do artistic, hobby, and handy crafts like Pottery, Wood Turning, Basket and Wicker Weaving, Engraving and Etching, Relief Sculpture, Metallurgy, Model Painting… We cant wait to see what you do with this place! We’re not all work though – a large common area provides the comforts of home including a refrigerator, sink, kitchen area and some comfortable couches alongside our growing library. While you’re away you may stow your belongings in a secure locker, and you may opt to join our village of rentable workstations.
