IT employers in Connecticut were the most active in the nation during October, on average listing 620 jobs daily. This is a 5.1% increase over the number of new IT positions advertised in the previous month, and an encouraging 29.2% more than in October 2012. It's been many long months since we've seen this level of hiring activity from Connecticut's IT employers, with the Healthcare, IT Services, HiTech and Insurance sectors taking the lead to post 13.2% more job openings than in March 2013.

Connecticut IT Job Trends – March Report

IT job postings rose by just 1.9% in Connecticut during the month of February - disappointingly low for the traditionally active first quarter, but in the right direction. However, the state's Healthcare and Financial industries posted a healthier percentage of new positions last month. Looking forward, will continued improvement in the economy inspire IT employers to staff up in greater numbers?
