Construction-repair contracting giant Emcor Group Inc. in Norwalk has completed its $255 million cash buyout of USM Services Holdings Inc., of the nation's biggest facilities maintenance vendors.
Emcor bought USM, based in Norristown, Pa., from Transfield Services Ltd. The deal was initially announced in May.
USM competes with, among others, Harford's FM Facility Maintenance, a private vendor that does commercial cleanup and other maintenance for offices, stores and restaurants nationwide.
USM has some 150 customers in more than 75,000 locations in all 50 states and Canada, and has annual revenues of about $375 million.
